I've been an opera fan since childhood. One of my first favorite operas was "Aida". I can still remember my late father describing the story to me as a child, as we listened together to the Metropolitan Opera radio broadcast. I miss listening to the opera with my dad. Our all time favorite opera was "Eugene Onegin" by Tchaikovsky after watching the Russian film version made in 1959.
