I have loved opera since I was a young child. I am not the sort to criticize a singer. I know what it takes to perform in the magnificent art form, so I keep those opinions to myself. I listen and watch opera because of the beauty of the music and the artistry of the singers. Since no one in my family is particularly keen on opera, I am looking for a place to talk about it, share stories and find people with the same interest.
I have been to many operas houses in Europe and spent a year living in Vienna in close proximity to the Staatsopera. Originally from NYC and spent many wonderful evenings at the Met.
My favorite singers are Nikolai Ghiaurov and Joan Sutherland. Favorite operas are Don Carlo and Boito's Mephestopheles.
